The best way to start a busy day..
Today my wide awake body & mind naturally decided it was time to get out of bed at 5.10am, gifting me a luxury slow start that looked like this:
.
✅ An hour of full yoga practice (with a wobbly yet strong warrior 3!)
✅ Enjoying every single bite of my oat porridge with banana, coconut and other springled seeds and goodness
✅ Watching 9 birds take flight/fly around trees, collect branches, doing their thing
✅ Being in awe by the richness in birds and colours and textures spotted - 3 lorikeets, 2 magpies, 1 Cockatoo, 1 kookaburra, 2 I'm not sure the breed, nonetheless just as magnificent
✅ Going for a 20 min walk in the cold and having my heart be warmed by beautiful trees, the vast diversity in leafs
✅ Having a toddler on his little three wheeler bike (accompanied by his parents) give me the biggest smile as if I was his best friend
.
Whilst i can't say I'm loving lockdown right now in Sydney, I'm so grateful and loving life for all it has to offer 🙏🏼❤️
.
I know today was pure luxury as I don't always have hours of time before I start a busy day, or often times I just need more sleep. But one thing I know for sure is that my busiest days are best started slow. Which can be with such a simple start.
✨ 10 deep breaths in and out grounding yourself before the calendar stares at you
✨ A moment to make a cup of tea (or hot water for me) and embracing the steam, smell, warmth of your cup
✨ Staring at the skies (look up!) or trees for a min
✨ Appreciating the food you are making and eating and being grateful for everyone and everything in the chain who helped contribute to your meal.
.
.
What simple thing could you do to start your busy day slow?
.
.
Happy slow starting 💞
